A copy of an original is a duplicate.

When producing the duplicate, care must be taken to ensure that it comes as close as possible to the original in terms of its properties and appearance. But what happens when you make a duplicate of the duplicate and so on? Jonathan Monk presents an answer using a slide series of a glass of milk.
