ARTS OF THE WORKING CLASS: ISSUE 15
Arts of the Working Class is a multilingual, international street newspaper and art periodical founded in Berlin. It functions as a platform for texts and artistic contributions that
address issues relating to poverty, labour, social structures, cultural production, and contemporary art; the magazine is distributed both on the streets (vendor-run sales) and through independent distribution channels.
Issue 15, titled Decolomania, focuses on decolonial perspectives and the histories of art, politics, and theory, with contributions by a wide range of artists, theorists, and writers. The editorial framing connects present-day discourse to colonial histories, anti-Eurocentric viewpoints, and narrative strategies that seek to reframe dominant cultural and theoretical paradigms.
The publication’s structure—small-format printed edition with multiple contributors—emphasizes a collective, networked approach to cultural critique and artistic discourse, often foregrounding alternative publishing practices outside mainstream art magazines.
