The origins of this book lie in a waterlogged landscape out of which looms the library of an artist (Pepe Espaliú, 1955-1993) deposited in a public institution (Arteleku, Donostia-San Sebastián) that suffered a series of physical and ideological deluges, including the overflowing of a nearby river intent on bursting its banks and flooding the memory of the place.

I Wait Here For You Forever as Long as It Takes is Stefan Marx' (Schwalmstadt, 1979) first major book and his third appearance in the Nieves catalogue. The book content is a selection from the personal drawing diaries, on which Stefan worked over the last two years, combining some of the finest paper paintings and drawings with book drawings and written notes. The intimacy of the subject matter portrayed in the book is also reflected in the title, chosen for its moody romantic inner meaning, which sums up Stefan working style “going through life writing and drawing down the lowlights.”

In this work, I make a closer investigation of the history of the house, the family biography and the perception of the house as a deviation from the norm. In The Island, the run down palace is used to portray how a place can challenge a town’s structure, architecturally and socially.

The book brings together forty-nine photographs from Korine’s private archive in order to reveal a side of the artist’s creative process that remains largely unexamined. Depicting a mysterious young girl moving through a televised landscape of shifting contexts, Pigxote further illustrates Korine’s interest in replacing plot lines and other narrative tropes with intuitively arranged “experiential moments.” They also provide a unique insight into the poetic mind of Nashville’s most compelling prodigal son.

In seiner ersten großen Einzelausstellung in Österreich stellt der in Berlin lebende Künstler Klaus Weber Arbeiten aus den letzten Jahren, darunter speziell für die Ausstellung konzipierte Werke, vor. Dabei verleiht er dem Hauptraum der Secession den Charakter eines lebendigen Organismus. Licht, Klang und Geruch spielen eine tragende Rolle und verweben die verschiedenen Objekte auf sensuelle Weise mit dem Raum. Beispielhaft dafür steht die neue, als "Zentralorgan" fungierende Arbeit SONNENORGEL. Klaus Weber ließ hierfür auf dem Dach der Secession einen Heliostaten installieren und einige Glasscheiben austauschen, um das Sonnenlicht ungefiltert in den Raum zu schicken und, durch einen Spiegelhaufen gesteuert, die anderen künstlerischen Arbeiten spotlichtartig zu beleuchten. Auf diese Weise holt er nicht nur unsichtbar das Außen in den Innenraum, sondern dekonstruiert damit den white cube der Secession und legt die architektonische Struktur offen.

Bite Marks in Paper presents a series of intimate structures which function somewhere between two and three dimensions. Over the course of twelve months Myers used the action of biting paper to create a series of blind embossed paper documents, suggesting fragments of the everyday, as unique records of the impulses that precipitated them. In addition to the release of the publication, there will be a special accompanying text by Byron Coley, and a limited, deluxe edition.

Negus has originated from a very specific historical event dating back to the time of the Italian occupation in Ethiopia in 1936, when a wounded soldier was forced to return to Vernasca (PC), Invernomuto’s native town. On the occasion of his return, the community organized a joyful and obscure ritual in the main square during which was burnt the effigy of Haile Selassie I, last Negus of Ethiopia as well as the Messiah according to the Rastafarian cult, developed in Jamaica during the early 30s. The book, further development of the project Negus, contains an extensive visual section developed drawing on various personal archives, two unpublished essays by David Katz and Anna Della Subin and an interview with the two artists held by Frida Carazzato (Museion, Bolzano) and Emanuele Guidi (ar/ge kunst, Bolzano).

Nahtlos by Frauke Wilken is a visual advance towards the materiality of her sculptures.

Mit seinem Atelier als Ausgangspunkt entwarf Janssen einen Rundgang durch die Berliner Innenstadt, mit der Absicht genau einen Euro in acht verschiedenen Kopierläden auszugeben. Im ersten Copy-shop kopierte er die Euro-Münze, und dann jeweils das sich kontinuierlich vermindernde Restgeld.
