At the core of Daniel Hafner’s artistic practice lies a sustained inquiry into perception, mediated experience, and the shifting conditions of reality in the digital age.

The covers of the Tarnschriften indicated that they were filled with information about sewing machines, shaving, or hair care. They could take the shape of a tourist brochure, a cookbook, or pulp fiction. The outwardly harmless cover designs did however by no means correspond with the contents.
This box contains six pamphlets: disguised, forbidden, anti-Nazi writings that were spread throughout the Third Reich.

Ahmet Ögüt, one of Turkey’s influential young artists, brings the diversity of specific local determinations, which appear to take place in a particular temporal and spatial relationship, to his work. This book of photography by French artist Daguin contains a selection of intimately documented acts. Simona Vladíková writes: "Pierre Daguin lets his sight naturally wash up a stream of images of girls, friends, private places, showcases, girls’ wombs, and portraits…. The black and white photography, including that which is said to be ‘low quality,’ is a raw record of moments of convergence of contextual flux." Designed by Markéta Othová, the book has a hard binding and cover.

I found a cafe named Downey’s in Amersfoort which is run by a family and their son Arjan with Down syndrome. There are several Down syndrome people working in the cafe as well as volunteers who support them. However the Down syndrome people have to pay for their labour to the cafe, which in return supplies them with a form of traineeship.

Im ›System‹ Bibliothek spricht sich der Wunsch der Menschheit nach Wahrheit, Übersicht und Selbstvergewisserung aus, L.A. dagegen gilt als postmoderne Stadt par excellence und repräsentiert damit auch das viel zitierte Ende der ›großen Erzählungen‹. Each one of us has Giga-grams of things, souvenirs and gifts at home. Gigabytes of photos and videos. Non-sensical things, but apparently they're kept as a memory of something. But these things only tend to catch dust, and the stronger individuals among us tend to get rid of them at the earliest opportunity. Most of the remembrance material usually only evokes a strange sense of inappropriateness, least of all a recollection of what-the-hell-the-name-of-that-place-was.
