Das Kinderbuch Emma und Pferd Beere von der Autorin Heike Geißler und der Illustratorin Simone Waßermann über das Mädchen Emma, vor dessen Tür plötzlich das imaginäre Pferd Beere steht, wird im original Offset-Lithographie-Verfahren gedruckt! So ein Pferd ist wie ein Mensch, aber schöner. Wenn ein Pferd vor der Tür steht, fragt man nicht lange, wo es herkommt und was es wohl will.

Von Herbst 2003 bis Sommer 2004 wurde das Kunsthaus Zürich erstmals in seiner Geschichte vollständig saniert. Der junge Schweizer Künstler Ingo Giezendanner hielt diesen Prozess im Auftrag des Kunsthauses zeichnerisch fest.

Wie schon die Diplompublikation 2001 entstand auch die Publikation zum Abschluss der Kunstklasse 2003 in enger Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Studierenden und der Edition. Die Publikation wurde nach einer Idee von Jason Klimatsas als Zeitung konzipiert.

It is as though we were seeing the purity of the physical material – the canvas – before us, overlaid with the enlarged epidermis of the physical-chemical or electronic carrier material. The enlargements of infographic carriers, of monitors, photocopies, printing, etc. make us aware of the ”place” that bears (away) the traces of our presence. Thus the carriers, to which we entrust the legacy of our presence, already bear a ”mark”, seem to be ”punctured”, injured, and do not correspond at all to the immaculacy of a surface, to which we sacrifice the dimensions of space.
