Die Publikation zur Ausstellung von Rudolf Steiner & Barbara Meyer Cesta im Projektraum der Kunsthalle Bern hätte ein Katalog werden sollen, wurde aber zu einem Werk für sich. (Germ./Engl./French)

Elisabeth von Samsonow zeigt in ihrer breit angelegten Analyse, dass und wie Schiele sich selbst zwischen 1910 und 1918 immer wieder als „Avatar“ des heiligen Franziskus darstellt, in welchem er den Experten für die „anderen Zustände“ erkennt – für das Empfangen der Stigmata, für Hypnose, Agonie und Ekstase.

Der Titel "Deadlands", also Totenländer, bezieht sich in erster Linie auf die Verbindung der Totenmasken mit den jeweiligen Landschaften. Alle Landschaften dieser Erde sind ja immer gleichzeitig belebt und auch immer Erinnerungsräume. Fast überall haben Menschen gelebt und mehr oder weniger Spuren hinterlassen.

Das deutsch-norwegische Künstlerpaar Kathrin Höhne und Bjarte Gismarvik hat im Jahr 2002 eine eine Expedition nach »Finnskogen« unternommen, ein Landstrich im Osten von Norwegen, der die Grenze zu Schweden berührt. Die Gegend hat ihren Namen von finnischen Einwanderern erhalten und ist bekannt für den starken Glauben seiner Einwohner an mystische Erscheinungen und märchenaften Gestalten wie Zwerge, Elfen oder Trolle.

154 people, who were contacted through oda projects since 2000, came together in a book rather than in a physical room. Chains were formed between these 154 people through a series of questions started by Oda Projesi. Oda Projesi addressed the accumulated questions to the 154 people and these people whether they knew each other or not talked to each other by the means of the book. The book, consisting of these 'talks' is an imagination of a common narration and an intention of establishing a narration through opening up the possibilities of the printed material space. Is it possible to be neighbours and to live together in these apartments of narrations?

GLAMOUR ist der zweite Band von whyart, einem dreiteiligen Kunstbuchprojekt von Aude Lehmann und Tan Wälchli (Zürich). Das Projekt verfolgt das Ziel, drei Begriffe, die im gegenwärtigen Kunstdiskurs häufig, jedoch nicht trennscharf verwendet werden, theoretisch präzise zu bestimmen: Aura, Glamour und Mode. Der erste Band, AURA, ist im Frühjahr 2004 bei Revolver erschienen.

Ausgangspunkt ist Alexandre Dumas‘ aberwitziger Roman »Kapitän Pamphile«. Obwohl bereits im Jahr 1839 erstmals veröffentlicht, entpuppt sich das Frühwerk von Dumas gerade heute wieder als treffsicherer Kommentar zum aktuellen Zeitgeschehen. In ihm beschreibt Dumas belustigt in sarkastischem Unterton die wilden rücksichtslosen Abenteuer des Piratenkapitäns Pamphile.

Im Zentrum des Projekts Actualité steht eine 16mm Filmsequenz, die sich mit dem kurzlebigen Moment der Populärkultur des 20. Jhd. auseinandersetzt. Gezeigt wird eine fiktive Band bei ihrer Probe.
