Das Künstlerbuch zu seinem Projekt »One Side of Broadway« (2005), einer Diainstallation mit Ton, evoziert die Zeit um 1910, in der New York zentraler Schauplatz der Entwicklung des Spielfilms und der Kinos war. Diese Zeit verbindet sich unmittelbar mit heute, wenn Buckinghams fotografische Aufnahmen vom Broadway von 1999 die Frage nach der Bedeutung dieser Geschichte zu unserem heutigen Wissen und Wahrnehmen stellen.

Since the beginning of her stay in Cairo in 2008, Jacqueline Benz made narrative scenes in which she participates. The text is divided into fragments dealing with themes in which misunderstandings, marriage or the police are recurring themes. The situations of everyday life are accompanied by those inspired by her art projects.

'Untranslatables' is not a dictionary. It is not an encyclopaedia. It is not a language course, a grammar book or linguistic research: it is an imaginary word universe that shows gaps and (im)possibilities. It reflects the inability to name everything there is, and the indomitable human desire to do so. It is a colourful answer for the grey zone in our daily vocabularies.

In the society of late capitalism – whether we understand it as a society of consumption, of control, or as a cybernetic society -, visibility and transparency are no longer signs of democratic openness, but rather of administrative availability. Spaces of agency and spaces of social friction are absorbed into the surfaces of technical processes.

Die "Diplompublikation 2006" der Abschlussklasse am Studienbereich Bildende Kunst der Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst in Zürich versammelt Inserts aller siebzehn Diplomandinnen und Diplomanden sowie einen Beitrag von Carlpeter Braegger, der als Gast von den Studierenden eingeladen wurde.

It is not easy to translate into English the Italian word autoprogettazione. Literally it means auto = self and progettazione = design. But the term ‘self-design’ is misleading since the word ‘design’ to the general public now signifies a series of superficially decorative objects.

With “Markings”, the KW Institute for Contemporary Art and Spector Books are initiating a series of small-format, polymorph publications. They will be produced together with artists who have exhibited, intervened, or performed at the Kunst-Werke.

Vom 01.10. 2007 bis zum 01.03. 2008 befanden sich Clemens Denk, Philipp Hanich und Thomas Weinberger für ein Auslandssemester in Krakau, Polen. Sie nutzten diesen Aufenthalt um intensiv an Projekten für die Künstlergruppe Krafftmalerei zu arbeiten.

Jonathan Monks Arbeitsfeld ist die Konzeptkunst der 1960er und 70er Jahre. Er nähert sich der Kunstgeschichte und konterkariert deren Thesen mit Humor und Eigensinn.

Jahrhunderts wählte sie jeweils eine deutschsprachige Enzyklopädie, deren Bänden sie das Bildmaterial entnahm, das als Grundlage für die 10 Serien von Buchstabe A bis Z mit insgesamt 272 Collagen diente.

Ich bin ein anderer ist ein Lobgesang auf das Scheitern und Verweigern. Entgegen dem allverbreiteten Paradigma des positiven Denkens legt das Buch sein Augenmerk auf die Zweifel, Unsicherheiten und Schwächen.
