The publication is developed as a reflection on books as archives of touch. Visiting our local public library, the Philipp Schaeffer Bibliothek in Berlin, we checked out a selection of books that caught our attention. Bringing them home, we took photographs of handling and reading the books, which we then printed out and inserted back into the books. Following this, we returned books to the library with these hidden pages added.

On display forty Mongolfiere, made with recycled materials, objet trouvé and natural elements, each dedicated to a desire. The project was born in the spring of 2020 when, in response to the isolation imposed by the pandemic, the artist asked friends, family and colleagues to express a desire to be shaped, leaving all of them free to follow the flow of their thoughts and aspirations. On 591 PowerPoint pages the artist describes her subjective and partially autobiographical thoughts concerning the paradox of space in the form of ?textimages? in French with English subtitles. While these are projected uncommented, Tuerlinckx improvises a musicalpiece on a first-generation Casio synthesizer.

Bermúdez achieves through the pages of the photo book 'And you, why are you black?" where, starting from an investigation into the origins of black slavery in Spain, the author constructs an autobiographical tale that acts as a political essay, rescuing his memory captured in the images, conversations and symbols that marked his life and thus narrates the everyday and the extraordinary of a society seen from a black perspective.

This small publication is an edited reprint of the essay ‘The Book in Intermediary Form’ written by Kasper Andreasen. It was originally published in 2011 by Wintertuin, Nijmegen as part of a compilation about the future of the book. The essay argues for a possible scenario leading up to a hypothesis about an audio­visual book. How can artists’ books be audio­visual objects?

"In 2012 I was asked to be in an exhibition in Holland themed around the Dutch artist, Bas Jan Ader. I was to come to the small town of Winschoten for a month and make the work for the exhibition. The town was a short bike ride away from the small village where Ader’s father was a minister. After staying in Holland for about a week, I became annoyed with the curators. From this annoyance I decided what work I would give to them for their exhibition. I was to disappear from Winschoten. Not to romanticize Ader’s own disappearance at sea, but to disappear from a situation I did not want to deal with."
