Hermann Nitsch ist Mitbegründer des Wiener Aktionismus und zählt zu den wichtigsten Aktionskünstlern der Gegenwart. Sein Opus magnum, das Orgien Mysterien Theater, ist eine neue Form des Gesamtkunstwerkes. Dafür werden die Bibliotheken an den Flussufern, die Musik die entlang ihres Weges verläuft und die Leute die sie auf ihrer Reise treffen zu den wichtigsten Indikatoren.
