Why
I consider design first and foremost as an ethical and cultural practice, which is in great need of a constructive, critical discourse. To this end, Field Essays explores the margins of the design field, in search of contemporary meaning.

FRAME was the name of the final exhibition of the fotoK-graduating year 2009. The exhibition as well as the catalogue presents the work of eleven students who finished fotoK – a Vienna-based photographic course – after three years of studying.

The project written and directed by Anthony Bannwart, encompassed an exhibition, a conference, concert, and cinema surrounding the subject of the exchange system manifesting itself between three factors: Charles-Edouard Jeanneret (Le Corbusier), his parents, and the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds. It examined the phenomenon of offering and counter offering in the setting of a patrimony and ancestralisation, La Maison blanche, built for his parents by Le Corbusier.

"The following series are part of the work produced during Sandarbh Artist Residency, organized in the village of Partapur, located in the Rajasthan, India.
