Lawrence Weiner’s WHEREWITHAL treats the book not as documentation but as a continuation of sculptural practice by linguistic means.

Hans Schabus' works are immediately related to a spatial thinking and experience; his sculptures and interventions often refer directly to the artist's mental and physical surroundings, especially to his atelier and the material to be processed there. The place where art is created is investigated in terms of its analogy potential with respect to life. The works can be read as a meditation on the creative act, its aspirations, but also on the difference from everyday activity. The film works that deal with traveling, speed and non-goal-oriented movement refer to the significance of an interdisciplinary reflection for art.

De Vleeshal`s exhibition Utrechtse Krop (Utrecht Goitre) showed unique medical historical photographs alongside work by Dutch photographer and artist Paul Kooiker (winner of the 1996 Prix de Rome for photography).

"Otium" ist eine klangliche und gestalterische Hommage an das gleichnamige Künstlerbuch von Franz West, erschienen 1995 anlässlich der Frankfurter Buchmesse (auf Anregung von Kasper König).

1979, Sir Anthony Frederick Blunt ist nicht mehr Sir. Der Grund dafür liegt weit zurück in Cambridge, wo er studierte. Dort kam er mit einem geheimen Kreis von Männern zusammen, jung und von glühender Leidenschaft für den Kommunismus. Später wurden sie bekannt als die Cambridge Five. Der erste von ihnen wurde 1951 enttarnt, der zweite ein Jahr später.

Seit der 1986 von Adolf Krischanitz durchgeführten Generalsanierung der Secession bilden die vier zentralen Stützen des Hauptraums einen der prägendsten Elemente. Ursprünglich in poliertem Nickelstahl und Messing ausgeführt, blieben diese seit 1989 mehr als zweiundzwanzig Jahre lang verhüllt, respektive weiß überstrichen, wohl um deren eigensinnige Präsenz als vermeintliches Otto-Wagner-Zitat zu neutralisieren.

At first glance, there really seem to be some parallels between Romain, the protagonist of François Ozon’s latest film, Time to Leave, and the director and screenwriter who invented him: Both are young artists in their thirties, brought up in a loving and supportive upper middle-class family in Paris and are self-conscious about their homosexuality.
