The found-footage material employed ranges from advertisements and pictures of Marilyn Monroe, to newspaper cuttings that show, on the one hand, everyday misfortune, and, on the other, the glorified life of high society. In addition to the photo montages, video works by the artist made since the mid-seventies will be shown, in which she features as a protagonist. Inscribing herself into the public discourse, Ivekovic thus makes visible collective social codes of behavior and their origins in the gender-specific, standardized patterns employed by mass media.

Auch im Design und der Bemaßung unterscheiden sich die Ausgaben teilweise. Nur der Titel ist immer das heft deutschland [1- n]. In jeder Ausgabe biete ich einen jeweils spezifischen Blick auf etwas das ich mit „deutschland“ betitele. Ich erwarte eine Interferenz zwischen dem Titel und dem Inhalt der jeweiligen Ausgabe.

Das Buch ist anlässlich der 2012 in Innbruck stattfindenden Olympischen Jugend-Winterspiele aus einem Kunst & Bau Projekt der in Österreich lebenden brasilianischen Künstlerin Georgia Creimer entstanden.

It is difficult to identify another mechanical invention that has had more of an impact on human life as much as the car.

Dutch photographer Peter Martens (1937-1992) was a versatile street photographer. His way of working was inspired by the long American tradition of engaged and personal documentary photography, but he went one step further and developed into a radical photographer who took a stand for the disadvantaged and outcast.

The image of the body can take many forms reflecting the never-ending human desire to create the imprints of ourselves. The theme of the body and corporeality has appeared in photography since the very beginning.
