"ZILLA" ist das zweite Künstlerbuch von Zilla Leutenegger und gleichzeitig die Dokumentation einer Vielzahl von Projekten aus den vergangenen Jahren. Die Publikation erscheint zur Ausstellung "ZILLA" im Bündner Kunstmuseum aus Anlass des MANOR-Kunstpreises Chur 2003.

Entgegen vielen bisherigen Publikationen über Jeff Wall, die dem gängigen Muster von Ausstellungskatalogen folgen, will dieses Buch ein theoretisch fundierter Band sein, der der Vielschichtigkeit von Walls Kunst gerecht wird. Mehr noch: es ist ein Buch, das über Jeff Wall hinaus für eine Diskussion der Fotografie seit den späten 70er Jahren relevant ist.

Die Hunterklasse - Praxistipps für Reiter, Trainer und Veranstalter grew out of Megan Sullivan's research project at the Jan van Eyck Academie, which explored the delineation of artistic practise and performative identity.

Ines Lechleitner's Pièce de Cinéma comprises images, sound and text which follow Isabelle Oglivie, a young mentally handicapped woman who is engaged in making a film. Lechleitner, as Isabelle's assistant as well as her chronicler, accompanies Isabelle as she discusses her film project with filmmakers, artists and philosophers, and documents her approaches to image-making and language.

"Sabotage does not mean destroying economical or political goods, but to disturb and manipulate human activities and incite reaction. Zwischen 2002 und 2005 fotografierte das Münchner Künstlerduo Haubitz + Zoche zahlreiche, unvollendet gebliebene Luxushotel-Anlagen entlang der Meeresküste der ägyptischen Sinai Halbinsel.

Seiichi Furuya leistet Gedächnisarbeit mittels der Fotografie. Die sieben gemeinsam mit seiner Frau verbrachten Jahre sind vor langer Zeit zu Ende gegangen

Die Publikation dokumentiert in Fotos, Zeichnungen und Texten die Eindrücke und Erlebnisse dieser langen Reise durch unbekannte Gefilde.

Wenn Sie den Namen Gerti Deutsch nicht kennen, sind sie offenbar zu jung, um Picture Post gelesen zu haben. Ihr Name stand dort in den 1930er und 1940er Jahren regelmäßig unter den interessantesten Fotoreportagen. (Wolf Suschitzky, 2010)

Die österreichische Gruppe MerkerTV war Teil des Films und der Performance „AC/DC greetings from Palermo“, einem Projekt des in Palermo ansässigen Künstlers Uwe Jäntsch und erarbeitete den zugehörigen Sound.

Die deutsche Fotografin Johanna/Jeanne Mandello, ausgebildet im Berlin der 20er-Jahre, wurde in den 30er-Jahren zur Wahlfranzösin, schwebte jedoch während des Nazi-Regimes sowohl in Deutschland als auch in Frankreich in Gefahr. Sie fand schließlich ein neues Zuhause in Uruguay und Brasilien, bevor sie nach Europa zurückkehrte.

Ardian Klosi beschreibt Albanien als ein Schiff, das durch ein Meer der Rückwärtsgewandtheit steuern muß, um schließlich im europäischen Hafen des Wohlstands und der Ordnung einzulaufen. Auf dem Titelbild des neuen Buchs von Jutta Benzenberg findet man dieses Schiff wieder.

Verena von Gagern-Steidle, eine der führenden Autorenfotografinnen Deutschlands, legt mit diesem Band eine außergewöhnliche Autobiografie vor: Das Buch vereint Text und Bild auf gleicher Ebene.

Der Fotozyklus „im Kurhotel“ von Marko Zink besteht aus 40 analogen Fotografien, die zwischen 2010/11 im legendären Kurhotel in Schruns entstanden sind.

Photography is the central subject and medium of the Austrian artist Anja Manfredi, whose comprehensive retrospective the Gallery OstLicht now presents. The show includes about 60 works, dating from 2000 to the present day, which unfold numerous reference points of the photographic discourse, setting it in motion, so to speak. His immediate response to the city was to imagine an outdoor performance of Samuel Beckett's legendary play, Waiting for Godot – the 20th century's most emblamatic story of waiting.

"In the desert a dream dries up". A headline in the newspaper was the reason to visit the modernistic city of Aktau at the Caspian Sea. Aktau, formerly Schewtschenko, is a Soviet planned city, built in the 60’s to exploit the uranium deposits in the steppe. Now that Kazakhstan is independent the city is being transformed by a European-Asian version of capitalism.

Report of a year long chalk drawing project by Bart Lodewijks on the road between Menen and Ieper in Belgium, on the occasion of the public art project Menin Road-Ypernstrasse, organized in commemoration of the First World War. This 20 kilometer long road is historically known for the devastating battle during the First World War.

By the same token, emotionally charged scenes are presented as though they were being reported with a childlike lack of understanding. Situations are not translated, but rendered literally; the artist provides no commentary, but lets the image speak for itself.

In order to illustrate the complex and often oppressive relationship that exists human beings and our material things, Dutch artist Melanie Bonajo contorts, binds, balances, and burdens her female models with the objects of everyday life: chairs, bookshelves, aerosol cans, food, empty containers, and cleaning supplies.

Taro and Hina Hirano are the founders of No.12 Gallery in Shibuyaku, Tokyo. With contacts made in private life and at work, both in Japan and abroad, they provides an exhibitional space for his friends from various fields of artistic practice.
