Die Langzeitstudie in verdichteter Form gibt nicht nur Einblick in die Entwicklung eines Kindes, sondern erzählt auch von der Beziehung zwischen Sohn und Mutter.

Ein ungewöhnlicher Künstler mit einem sagenhaften WerkZweifelsohne ist der 1971 geborene Darren Almond einer der herausragenden englischen Gegenwartskünstler; das beginnt mit seiner Teilnahme 1997 an der legendären Ausstellung Sensation, dem Start der Young British Artists, führt 2003 in den Pavillon der Biennale von Venedig und 2005 zur Nominierung für den Turner Prize.
