Von Glyptotheken und Gipsabgusssammlungen beeindruckt, verwandelt Oliver Laric mit seiner Ausstellung Photoplastik den Hauptraum der Secession in eine Skulpturenhalle, die seine Bearbeitungen von Werken unterschiedlicher Epochen von der Antike bis zur Gegenwart versammelt und mit Objekten aus Populärkultur und Naturwissenschaft verbindet. Die gesamte Ausstellung wurde von Laric eigens für die Secession konzipiert und enthält ausschließlich neue Werke, die wie viele Arbeiten des Künstlers der letzten Jahre großteils im 3D-Verfahren gedruckt wurden.

Henning Bohl’s Cornet of Horse explores the intersection of painting, sculpture, and spatial construction. Known for his use of everyday materials such as wood battens, canvas, or gypsum board, Bohl transforms these into self-referential sculptural elements.

In seiner ersten großen Einzelausstellung in Österreich stellt der in Berlin lebende Künstler Klaus Weber Arbeiten aus den letzten Jahren, darunter speziell für die Ausstellung konzipierte Werke, vor. Dabei verleiht er dem Hauptraum der Secession den Charakter eines lebendigen Organismus. Licht, Klang und Geruch spielen eine tragende Rolle und verweben die verschiedenen Objekte auf sensuelle Weise mit dem Raum. Beispielhaft dafür steht die neue, als "Zentralorgan" fungierende Arbeit SONNENORGEL. Klaus Weber ließ hierfür auf dem Dach der Secession einen Heliostaten installieren und einige Glasscheiben austauschen, um das Sonnenlicht ungefiltert in den Raum zu schicken und, durch einen Spiegelhaufen gesteuert, die anderen künstlerischen Arbeiten spotlichtartig zu beleuchten. Auf diese Weise holt er nicht nur unsichtbar das Außen in den Innenraum, sondern dekonstruiert damit den white cube der Secession und legt die architektonische Struktur offen.

Die Geschichte von Schloss Buchberg bei Gars am Kamp reicht bis in das 12. Jahrhundert zurück. Seit 1979 beherbergt das Schloss zeitgenössische Kunst. Aus der Anregung Dóra Maurer, leer stehende Räume für permanente Kunstinstallationen zu nutzen, ist ein vielschichtiges Gefüge entstanden, das landschaftliche, architektonisch, geschichtliche und künstlerische bestimmte Räume einmalig ineinander verschränkt.
