CURRENCY is a magazine edited and art-directed by artist Sico Carlier. Like a traditional magazine it contains interviews, some of them are recent, others are from 25 years ago. Visually there is a preference for drawings, in a number of these drawings the interviewed are portrayed. The outlook of CURRENCY is truly international.
Sico Carlier's text- and collage-based works have been displayed in places like: the legendary Gracie Mansion Gallery (New York), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco), Pineal Eye (London), Torch (Amsterdam) and Lagerfeld Gallery (Paris).
His printed matter is part of the collection of the MOMA New York. Art directional inserts in publications like Zingmagazine (New York) and Butt magazine (Amsterdam), Suite (Barcelona) and Blue (Sydney) and have been praised by I-D and Dazed and Confused.
