€ 24.00
In his exhibition mâcistan, Duane Linklater not only refers to the inherited storage practices of his ancestors, but also critically addresses the violent systems of
knowledge, representation, and value imposed by settler colonialism. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication featuring an essay by curator Damian Lentini and a conversation between curator Eungie Joo and artist Rayyane Tabet. The artistic intervention employs sumac powder, a pigment Duane Linklater uses in his paintings and disperses throughout the book, where it unfolds as a sensory substance that activates spaces of memory.
