EDGES brings together thirteen etchings by Alex Katz and the poem Edges by Robert Creeley. The collaboration is grounded in reduction, precision, and immediacy.

Katz’s etchings emphasize contour, framing, and surface, translating the visual language of his painting into linear form. Creeley’s poem is marked by brevity and compression, treating language as material shaped by rhythm and pause. Image and text function in parallel rather than illustration, sharing a focus on edges, limits, and perception.

The volume includes a tipped-in color plate, two full-color spreads, a black-and-white photograph of the artist and poet, an essay by Merlin James, and a preface by Peter Blum.
