entalhs… puts into words and images the gesture of the sculptor who cuts stone and that of the marble cutter in a quarry by the Mediterranean Sea. It celebrates nothingness from which a calm joy emerges.

Nothingness, to which the artist-poet gives a solid form, a sculpted object, which here becomes paper. Jaumes Privat is an author and artist from the South of France, who chose an endangered language (Occitan) because it allows him to “invent himself by inventing.”
