Film Works, Filmarbeiten, Filmwerken 2001 - 2007

This publication is the first in-depth study of Jesper Just's practice to date.

Since 2000, while still studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Just has produced video and film works addressing the difficulty faced by western societies, and by ourselves as individuals, to understand the wold and how we move within it. He tackles established cultural and sociopolitical conditions that have led us to believe in, and act upon, certain societal norms. Despite Just's seemingly amoral presentation of the condition of human interaction, in viewing his work we come to realise how inherently judgmental we really are.
