“Hair Sucks!” by Jaanus Samma is a series of hand-knitted sweaters with patterns based tags found in urban space.
The publication includes 15 photographs of 16 sweaters and a double-sided poster-size pattern sheet with 13 different patterns. Jaanus Samma is an Estonian artist mainly dealing with gay and queer topics in his work; he represents Estonia on the 2015 Venice Biennial. Published on the occasion of Samma’s solo show “Seater shop Hair Sucks!” at Tallinn Art Hall Gallery, 30.10.–23.11.2014.
