The supplement to the 1978 landmark catalogue raisonné of Jackson Pollock’s work documents forty-eight newly discovered paintings and works on paper that emerged after publication of the original volume.

Compiled by Eugene V. Thaw, the supplement expands and revises the scholarly record of Pollock’s oeuvre and addresses questions of attribution, provenance, and authenticity. In addition to the newly authenticated works, the volume discusses several problematic or minor objects whose status within the artist’s corpus required clarification.

The publication functions as an extension of the original catalogue raisonné and reflects the ongoing process of archival research, connoisseurship, and documentation central to the historiography of Abstract Expressionism.
