Without any art-historical explanation or interpretation, the individual issues in this series contain only what the artists wanted to realise. Issue 13 of Édition Séparée was created in parallel with Christian Sery's solo exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Bonn and is complemented by a text by Katharina Luz selected by the artist. This issue of Édition Séparée can therefore be understood as a documentation of the exhibition.

Sery C. (Christian Sery) is an artist living and working in Germany. In his multifaceted work, he deals with space and the position or presentation of his artworks within it. Sery C. makes use of different materials and means of expression.

The texts in the Édition Séparée are either by the artists themselves or by authors selected by them. It is important that these texts accompany and complement the artistic contribution without interfering with interpretation.

This series of artist's books, edited by Reiner Speck and Gerhard Theewen, presents a rapid succession of contributions by contemporary artists, sometimes supplemented by texts, created especially for this series.

Mit der Édition Séparée ist eine Reihe entstanden, die es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, Künstlerinnen die Möglichkeit zu geben, authentische Beiträge zur Tradition des Künstlerbuches zu realisieren. Ohne jede kunstwissenschaftliche Erklärung oder Interpretation enthalten die einzelnen Nummern dieser Reihe nur das, was die Künstlerinnen realisieren wollten. Die Nummer 13 der Édition Séparée entstand analog zu Christian Serys Einzelausstellung im Kunstmuseum Bonn und wird durch den vom Künstler ausgewählten Text von Katharina Luz komplettiert. Diese Nummer der Édition Séparée darf daher als Dokumentation der Ausstellung verstanden werden.

Sery C. (Christian Sery) ist ein in Deutschland lebender und arbeitender Künstler. In seinem vielseitigen Werk beschäftigt er sich mit dem Raum und der Position beziehungsweise der Präsentation seiner Kunstwerke darin. Dabei bedient sich Sery C. unterschiedlicher Materialien und Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten.

Textbeiträge in der Édition Séparée stammen entweder von den Künstlerinnen selbst oder von ihnen ausgewählten Autorinnen. Dabei wird Wert darauf gelegt, dass diese Texte den künstlerischen Beitrag begleiten und ergänzen, sich aber nicht interpretierend einmischen.
