Negotium is an artist's book and, at the same time, a ‘sales catalogue’ of three works by Franz West, numbers 23, 47 and 48.

The main focus is on number 23, ‘Immobiles Paßstück mit Kindersonnenbrille (in Polizeistubengrün)’ (Immobile Passage Piece with Children's Sunglasses (in Police Station Green)). The work was signed by West in 1982 and dated ‘74 or 75’ on the back. It consists of a light green pocket object made of chipboard and cardboard, which was originally nailed to the wall. The pocket contains a dark green plastic folder with 20 Franz West collages and a pair of children's sunglasses to be worn when viewing the collages
