Long Haired and Freaky documents an early phase in the work of Norwegian artist Gardar Eide Einarsson.

The publication brings together visual references and materials that reflect his ongoing interest in subcultural imagery, political symbolism, and the graphic languages of counterculture.

Produced in collaboration with editor Christoph Keller and published by Revolver – Archiv für aktuelle Kunst in Frankfurt in 2004, the book situates Einarsson’s practice within a broader field of independent art publishing of the early 2000s. It reflects the artist’s engagement with appropriation, visual codes, and the circulation of images across art, music, and political culture.
