Lubok 6
Lubok 6 is part of the ongoing Lubok artist-book and portfolio series dedicated to contemporary printmaking.
The volume brings together original works by international artists who work with traditional relief printing techniques—such as woodcut and linocut—while translating them into distinctly contemporary visual languages.
A defining feature of Lubok is its emphasis on materiality and process: paper, matrix, ink, and seriality are central concerns. Rather than serving as documentation, Lubok 6 functions as an autonomous exhibition in book form. Edited by Christoph Ruckhäberle and Thomas Siemon, the volume positions collaborative production and the status of the original print at its core—each page is an original work, each spread a self-contained pictorial space.
