Lusty Games: A short lesbian story of sensual desire
Lusty Games: A Short Lesbian Story of Sensual Desire / Wollüstige Spiele: Ein kleines lesbisches Getändel voll sinnlicher Lust is a small-format
artist’s publication released in Vienna in 2003. The anonymous text unfolds a deliberately explicit erotic narrative from a lesbian perspective.
The publication contains original black-and-white photographs produced in a small edition, each individually tipped into the book. The photographs are extremely small in scale (approx. 3 × 1 cm) and depict explicit sexual imagery; their reduced size creates a tension between intimacy, fragmentation, and distance. As original photographic prints, they are an integral component of the publication and simultaneously define it as a multiple art object.
With a total edition of 100 copies, a staple-bound paperback format, and monochrome offset printing, the publication operates at the intersection of literature, photography, and edition-based practice. The combination of an anonymous, explicit text with serially integrated original photographs positions Lusty Games as a deliberately private yet formally self-reflective work at the crossroads of eroticism, the artist’s book, and small-scale distribution.
