A tomcat has been living in the sculpture garden of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami since it opened in 2017.

The staff call him Martin Kippenberger. The artist, who died in 1997, also sneaks through Tiziana Jill Beck's book: his ‘241 Bildtitel zum Ausleihen für Künstler’ (241 picture titles for artists to borrow), a collection of alienated T-shirt slogans, were the starting point for 241 drawings and collages. In the interplay of motif and text, the ‘Marshmallow Moments’ testify to the meaning and nonsense of everyday life, react to current events, and quote pop culture and art history. A visual lexicon of collective contemporary moments that provokes individual narratives.
