Peintures & Objets
Produced in the context of a two-exhibition project in 1993, one at the Consortium in Dijon and the other at Le Quartier, this monograph retraces the evolution of Marc Camille Chaimowicz’s approach.
Including exhibition views, reproductions of earlier works and a critical essay, the book bears witness to the complexity and ambivalence of a practice that incorporates craft and decorative elements. Issues to do with work, realisation times and modes of presentation are examined in parallel with concepts like quality of materials, the economics of production and the functionality of art objects.
