this collection of photographs and essays explores the work of performance artists Michel Gholam and Wolfgang Prinz. Using their bodies as material, they adopt poses and gestures taken from a common artistic language formed by painting and film.

Michel Gholam and Wolfgang Prinz have been working together for the last 7 years. Beginning with gestures and poses taken from the pictorial tradition, their work asserts their bodies as material for photographic representation in a performative and symbiotic dimension.

Wolfgang Prinz was born in Leutkirch, Germany, in 1969.
Michel Gholam was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1963.
They work and live in Berlin, Germany.
