Drawn back to the landscapes of his youth, Michael Nagl photographs the seemingly untouched outskirts of Vienna—low brush, birch groves, open fields.

At first glance, they evoke primeval origins. But beneath the moss lies asphalt, beneath the grass: concrete. These places are not remnants of the past, but previews of a future where human presence has faded.
