In her films, photographs, and sound works, Tacita Dean uses silence, time, and entropy to explore particular human sensibilities.

The works presented at Kunsthaus Bregenz include monumental chalk drawings on blackboards and her film Antigone. Using the simplest of materials, they generate timeless imagery rooted in history and art history, creating powerful and enduring symbols.

The large-format photographed works are accompanied by texts, some of which Tacita Dean wrote especially for this KUB artist’s book.
