The Pho That Remains

This booklet explores the idea of “home.” It begins at a table in a Vietnamese restaurant in Hawaii, and brings together people I met there, fragments of events, and memories through photographs, drawings, and text.

It is not a place one properly belongs to. Food, people, and time blend together, their origins and boundaries left unclear. Still, different things gather around the same table, and time continues as everyday life. I call this state “home.”
