Up the threshold
Raymond Pettibon first came to prominence during the late-seventies with his raw, literary-inflected imagery for Black Flag, Sonic Youth, and SST Records.
Over the subsequent decades, the erstwhile Southern California artist has deservedly become an international contemporary art icon. "Up the Threshold" is his 1992 artist book cum 'zine published in conjunction with Pettibon's participation in "LAX" - a series of one-person exhibitions by Southern California-based artists curated by Vienna's Galerie Krinzinger - that reproduces eighteen psychologically-charged drawings. A brand new, pristine, guaranteed authentic example of this uncommon Pettibon tour de force.
