VI x VI Positionen zur Zukunft der Fotografie
This publication brings together six thematic approaches to contemporary photographic practice, developed by artists, theorists, and curators. Central to the discussion are fundamental questions about the role, meaning, and materiality of photographic images in the digital age.
The texts examine the transition from analogue to digital production, the erosion of traditional image formats, and the ontological status of the photograph. Additional focal points include photography’s narrative capacities, its positioning between public and private domains, and the political and legal dimensions of image circulation.
Photography is not treated as a closed or stable medium, but rather as an open field of critical inquiry—a dynamic aesthetic, medial, and social practice. Each section outlines a distinct conceptual space in which photographic thinking and making can be reconsidered today.
