Pauline Johnson, Tekahionwake (1861-1913) is a writer, poet and performer who drew upon her Canadian and Mohawk upbringing on the Six Nations of the Grand River and Brantford in Upper Canada/Ontario. Landon Mackenzie is a Canadian artist, living on the unceded traditional lands of the Coast Salish.
