Bruno Gironcoli is one of the most idiosyncratic artists of the twentieth century. He gained public recognition with his late large-scale sculptures, in which archetypes and trivial elements meld to form futuristic conglomerates.

Das AMAM verwahrt mehr als 1.500 Dokumente, darunter mehr als 300 Zeichnungen, Collagen, Aquarelle, Radierungen und Skizzenbücher von den frühen 1950er Jahren bis zum frühen Tod der Künstlerin im Jahre 1970. Sämtliche Zeichnungen und zahlreiche Seiten aus den Notebooks sind in der vorliegenden Publikation meist erstmals perfekt farbig abgebildet.
