Report of a year long chalk drawing project by Bart Lodewijks on the road between Menen and Ieper in Belgium, on the occasion of the public art project Menin Road-Ypernstrasse, organized in commemoration of the First World War. This 20 kilometer long road is historically known for the devastating battle during the First World War.

Over the last 5 years the Austro Sino Arts Program and the Embassy of the Arts have produced an annual catalog with detailed documentation of their programs as well as activities of connected organisation, off-spaces and active individuals.

Despite being a relative newcomer to the Venice Biennale, the island kingdom of Bahrain has created a compelling pavilion, entitled A World of Your Own, which presents art embedded in geo-political realities, whilst simultaneously disestablishing those selfsame geo-political realities.

What determines our place in history? If it is the past, there we also find the material support with which we reconstitute our historical place. Our relation to history remains retrospective, but also anticipatory.
Events begin with a break from history. But they soon are recaptured by it and fetishized as historical triumphs or failures. Still something remains of past events that, although conditioned by history, is irreducible to it: a surplus that finds way to our time, something out of time that forces us to actively anticipate a renewing in past events.

With aim to further reflect and pursue the expanding expression onto each particular direction, in 2007, Cosmic Wonder is anouncing three projects with distinct processes: Cosmic Wonder, Cosmic Wonder Light Source and Yukinori Maeda.

An early progenitor of the artist's book genre, Warja Honegger-Lavater was born in Winterthur, Switzerland in 1913. She worked as an illustrator for the magazine Jeunesse from 1944-1958, and moved to New York shortly thereafter where she began a wonderful series of artist's books.

The book brings together forty-nine photographs from Korine’s private archive in order to reveal a side of the artist’s creative process that remains largely unexamined. Depicting a mysterious young girl moving through a televised landscape of shifting contexts, Pigxote further illustrates Korine’s interest in replacing plot lines and other narrative tropes with intuitively arranged “experiential moments.” They also provide a unique insight into the poetic mind of Nashville’s most compelling prodigal son.

In this book Barbara Holub explores the significance of artistic practices counteracting the investororiented (urban) planning and examines what options are offered by the new, transdisciplinary role of urban practitioner.

On July 26, 1963 a disastrous earthquake destroyed large areas of Skopje. The erection of prefabricated houses provided a number of countries with an opportunity to contribute visible reconstruction aid. Over the last 50 years the imported houses have steadily transformed and grown. PRE/FABRIC undertakes a search for traces in the biography of these houses and their use.

In this work, I make a closer investigation of the history of the house, the family biography and the perception of the house as a deviation from the norm. In The Island, the run down palace is used to portray how a place can challenge a town’s structure, architecturally and socially.
