Die Publikation zeigt einen Überblick über das künstlerische Werk der ukrainischen Künstler_innengruppe Revolutionary Experimental Space, die sich Ende 2004 während der „Orangenen Revolution“ in der Ukraine gegründete.

Nico Vascellari sucht in diesem Werk die Auseinandersetzung mit der archaisch-mythischen Dimension der Berge, die für den Künstler ein Symbol für die Transzendenz, für die Grenze zwischen Sichtbarem und Unsichtbarem darstellen.

Hartnäckig halten sich die Fantasien einer einstmals reinen Fotografie, in der sich die externe Realität und der menschliche Geist gleichsam objektiv ins Bild gebannt hätten – doch tatsächlich näherbringen konnte uns das fotografische Bild dieser sogenannten „wirklichen Welt“ niemals.

Von Herbst 2003 bis Sommer 2004 wurde das Kunsthaus Zürich erstmals in seiner Geschichte vollständig saniert. Der junge Schweizer Künstler Ingo Giezendanner hielt diesen Prozess im Auftrag des Kunsthauses zeichnerisch fest.

In February 2016 I was one of the many young adults, to join an international humanitarian network helping refugees stranded in Greece. I followed and worked with numerous groups, Hot Spots and organisations in the 14 months after my first trip there. Functioning as a photographer with my DSLR for charity and press occasions, I relied on an Instant Camera to capture my personal perspective on what I experienced and the connections I made whilst being there.

According to legend, the house in which Maria received the apparition of the Angel of Annunciation, the Santa Casa, was relocated by angels from Nazareth first to Dalmatia and then to Loreto. Since the 15th century, the Santa Casa of Loreto has become one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites. In 2009, the artists Davide Cascio and Christian Kathriner developed a work that refers back to this legend.
