Seems familiar? We are constantly bombarded by images and information – at school, at work, in newspapers and on the web. All of these stimuli carry a multitude of underlying codes.

THE DAILY EXHAUSTION is a small newspaper, which contains 23 self-portraits of an obsessed workaholic artist, who has reached the sweaty emotional state of exhaustion. (English)

Aus den Serien My Personal Hitchcock, Osaka, CCTV, Back of the Head und Games & Movies, die über die Jahre angewachsen sind, und teilweise in der Frau Böhm veröffentlicht wurden, hat Katja Stuke nun endlich ein Buch destilliert. Vielleicht steht der Titel Could Be / Könnte Sein für verpasste Gelegenheiten und verlorene Blicke.

Nein, wir können uns nicht sattsehen an anonymer Fotografie. Und gerade dann nicht, wenn ein visueller Künstler wie Steinbrecher das skurrilste aus den Archiven von Keystone zu Tage fördert und das dann vom jungen schweizer Verlag Kodoji hervorragend produziert worden ist. Sehr schönes kleines Buch!

The main topic of Christoph Oraeger's film trilogy is the turbulent period of the late 1960's. My Generation (2007), Blow Up, Stroll On (2006) and Hippie Movie (2007) were based on three carefully chosen paradigmatic 'scenes' that symbolize the rise and fall of the Hippie era. Born in 1965, Oraeger chose to relive these moments in order to enjoy and ironically simulate events that he could not have been an active part of.
