That is how it started in 2007.
The basic idea? To create model of a book store at the scale of 1:1 with opening hours in my studio. To invent a space that does two contradictory things: it functions according to general expectations while at the same time, it remains a model of itself; it steadily derives itself from the appeal of the unreal.

Salon für Kunstbuch combines an archive, a publishing house and a web platform, and views the book as an independent medium of artistic practice. The space was founded in 2007 by Bernhard Cella and is dedicated to creative and analytical thinking, the joy of text and image, design, and printing.
