The exhibition "Alternative Economics, Alternative Societies" focuses on diverse concepts and models for alternative economies and societies, which all have in common a rejection of the capitalist system of rule (further information: www.ressler.at).

Seit den 90er-Jahren definieren die Young British Artists den Kunstbegriff auf schockierende Weise neu, unter ihnen die bekennenden »enfants terribles« Jake und Dinos Chapman. Mit ihren Werken provozieren die Künstler das moralische und ästhetische Empfinden aufs Äußerste. Immer ist jedoch die hyperreale Darstellung ihrer Themen wie Tod, Sex, Gewalt und Hölle durch sarkastische und humoristische Elemente gebrochen. Das Buch dokumentiert die im Kunsthaus Bregenz gezeigten drei Werkgruppen mit Installationsfotos und grundlegenden Essays. Die grafische Gestaltung setzt die drei Themen und Ebenen in einer originellen Terrassenbindung sowie aufwändig in der Farb- und Papierwahl um. Installationsfotos aus dem Kunsthaus Bregenz sind in Form eines Leporellos eingefügt.

Kiwi entdeckt spielerisch verschiedene Themen des Alltags wie diverse Lebensmittel und Essen, die Stadt, Hobbys und Tiere. Dadurch entsteht ein Ort des Austauschs von Erfahrungen für die Kinder, deren Eltern und das KIWI Team.

Seit 1999 arbeiten Ruth Anderwald und Leonhard Grond als Künstlerduo in den Bereichen Fotografie, Film und Installation.

Maelstrom is a dynamic object. It shows a drawing process in a liquid medium. On closer inspection it is a sculptural process using tiny particles of a granular material that accumulate temporarily to form clusters and lines. But just moments before shapes become evident, they are overwritten or fall ¬apart and disappear. They vaporize. And although Maelstrom is very material, it travels between two realms: between what is there and what is not there.
