Vor allem im Zusammenhang mit der disziplinären Praxis, die der akademische Betrieb als „künstlerische Forschung“ bezeichnet, wird immer wieder – und vor allem von dieser Seite – gebetsmühlenartig auf die unablässige Notwendigkeit einer stabilen Verankerung der künstlerischen Wissensproduktion hingewiesen, die mit einer gesellschaftskritischen (Selbst-)Reflexion der Kunst und ihrer ProduzentInnen einhergehen muss.
