Auf den ersten Blick verlangt die Arbeit Gerold Tagwerkers eine Besprechung vor den Formulierungen der Minimal Art, auf die auch der Künstler selbst sich immer wieder bezieht; auf den zweiten Blick entäußert seine Arbeit nicht nur Bestätigung, sondern auch spielerische Verfremdung und Umdeutung derselben (wie es 40 Jahre “danach” gar nicht anders sein könnte), ohne jedoch eine kritische Analyse oder gar Dekonstruktion zu bemühen.
