Seit über 20 Jahren hat Johannes Zahlten als Kunstwissenschaftler an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig gelehrt und die entscheidende Entwicklung seines Faches von einer künstlerischen Begleitwissenschaft zu einem eigenständigen Studiengang mitgetragen und befördert.
