French designer Pierre Charpin (b. 1962, lives in Paris) holds a singular position within his field. He became a designer after finishing his Visual Arts studies and started to gain recognition in the mid-1990s. Articulated with a strong and liberated use of colors and materials, his creations—objects, furniture and exhibition designs—deal with the notions of landscape and autonomy, humor and surprise, poetic presence and minimalism.

The work of Hans Schabus, who was born in Watschig in Carinthia in 1970 and who recently finished his studies at the Academy for Fine Arts, is characterised by the mutual interrelationships between interior and exterior, private and public life or furniture and human beings.

The book is about the history of the German region of Ruhr, which Janis Schroeder revisited. The main topic of Christoph Oraeger's film trilogy is the turbulent period of the late 1960's. My Generation (2007), Blow Up, Stroll On (2006) and Hippie Movie (2007) were based on three carefully chosen paradigmatic 'scenes' that symbolize the rise and fall of the Hippie era. Born in 1965, Oraeger chose to relive these moments in order to enjoy and ironically simulate events that he could not have been an active part of.

Utopia Travel is a collaborative project by Austrian artists David Rych and
Emanuel Danesch. Its basis is the transport of a video collection from Cairo
to Vienna. The video archive was shown in a taxi as a mobile video installation
on a three-and-a-half-month tour through Cairo, Beirut, Istanbul,Sofia, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Graz and Vienna.
