Laboratori is a photographic project created by nine authors during four days at Ca l'Isidret. Borne from a desire to work under the concept of laboratorium as a space for research and experimentation, this publication gathers some of the obtained interpretations.

Eingeladen von The Absolut Company im Palais de Tokyo eine Installation zu erschaffen, die für diverse Veranstaltungen genutzt werden kann und somit Sitzmöglichkeiten, eine Bar sowie eine Bühne bieten soll, entsteht die Idee einer dreiteiligen Ausstellung mit einer Ausstellungsdauer von zwei Jahren.

Die Doppelausstellung in der neuen Aus- stellungshalle der Freiburger Museen ist die erste gemeinsame Präsentation von Mutter und Tochter. Der begleitende Katalog erzählt nicht nur eine besondere Art von Familiengeschichte, sondern schlägt auch einen Bogen zwischen den Medien und den Generationen der Kunst.

Corridors is the exact reproduction of a small collection of drawings.

Die Straße ist das urbane Feld, in dem Musik, Skateboard, Graffiti und politische Aktionen aufeinandertreffen und in dem die beiden jungen Leipziger Fotografen Arne Schmitt und Andrzej Steinbach ihre Motive finden. Auf gemeinsamen Streifzügen durch Leipzig entstand 2009 ein Bildfundus, der ihre visuelle Umgebung beschreibt: Häuser, Straßen, Zeichen, Menschen, die sie prägen.

Mit «Portobello» legt die Basler Künstlerin Hildegard Spielhofer ihre erste Publikation vor. Der sorgfältig und raffiniert gestaltete Bildband zeigt zahlreiche Fotografien aus der Arbeit "Portobello" und vertieft den Kontext der Arbeit mit zwei präzisen Texten von Maja Naef und Adam Szymczyk.

The Space for Visual Research was established at the Bauhaus-University Weimar in 2013 as a workshop and laboratory for experimental research into new graphic, abstract and visual worlds.

Nachbarn – ein Mysterium. Wer sind eigentlich die Menschen hinter der nächsten Tür? Obwohl wir täglich mit ihnen zusammentreffen, kennen wir sie kaum. Die Fotografin Arabella Schwarzkopf hat sich dieses Problems angenommen: In New York, Tokyo, Bologna, Wien, Berlin, Paris und Istanbul porträtierte sie ihre Mitmieter.

For several years, Sofie Thorsen has been occupied with the city: its architectural framework and its social, cultural, historical and political implications. The theme of the exhibition and the catalogue, The Achromatic Island, is, in a broader sense, about urbanity and development and its ramifications, and about focusing on the small but significant details that help shape the spaces we live in – urban spaces, as well as the cultural and social spaces that define our experience. At the same time, Sofie Thorsen deals with the notion of perception – as a cultural phenomenon as well as a personal experience. In many ways, The Achromatic Island is about seeing: what is immediately in front of us, what we often overlook, and what we haven’t seen or haven’t yet tried to see. How do we actually look at reality? How do we register, chronicle and photograph our surrounding world? And how can historical, cultural or individual views of the world be understood and read?

Reto Pulfer (born Bern, 1981) is a Berlin-based artist, whose work has been featured in exhibitions in institutions such as Kunsthalle Bern, ExtraCity, Antwerp, the Chelsea Art Museum, New York, and Stedelijk Museum Bureau, Amsterdam.
